Good to hear you in 2014 and I hope New Year already brought to you a lot of new businesses.
Today I have two short, but very good news for each of you:
NEWS NO.1
The common transport situation in Baltic Countries is very positive for Finland as transit hub for Russian cargoes:
- Russian customs does not allow to use TIR-Carnet for transit traffic via Tallinn, Riga and Klaipeda, and only via Finland TIR procedure is still working well. At least till 01.07.2014.
- Port fees and storage fees in SPB have been increased from 01.01.2014.
Means, many of those Russians who were working via SPB, Tallinn, Riga and Klaipeda in 2013 are desperately looking for partners in Finland for 2014. And I know all of you already got a lot of bookings and new requests in the beginning of January 2014.
The moment is excellent time to let the world know you on the logistics level, to advertise your famous Company as a strong sponsor, as a knowledgeable speaker or as an intelligent participant of The Finnish Logistics Day in SPB.
Please be hurry to send me information about your speech if you have decided that - we are going to finalize the program on 31.01.2014. We still need about 6-7 speakers from Finnish Companies (speech in English is acceptable as well as in Russian). Waiting your message about speeches to alexey(а)emelichev.fi - with name and photo of speaker, Company name, headline of the speech and few topics in details.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is held annually under the auspices of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.*This year it will be May 22–24, 2014 (see at
http://www.forumspb.com/en/2014).
Now we are trying to cooperate with this event, hope, we will have a connection between The Finnish Logistics Day in SPB and St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
In the same time pls remember, hotel situation in SPB will be extremely tight. Also because of The White Nights season in St Petersburg. We strongly recommend to make hotel reservations as soon as possible. Hotel Rinaldi is one of the best options - we reached agreement with them to accommodate our guests (see more details at
