CONGESTION SURCHARGE

VALUED CUSTOMER,

as from October 1st 2012, because of the potential strike and/or slowdown announced by the Unions, MSC is expecting significant delays and congestion at all USA Ports.

To cover this possible risk MSC filed a Port Congestion Surcharge (CGS) to apply as of October 5th, 2012 for all cargo to/from the United States of America.

The Quantum is as follows:
$ 800 per 20’
$ 1,000 per 40’
$ 1,125 per 40’ HC

MSC will continue to monitor closely the situation and hopes that any resolution among the parties is found without resulting in stoppage and/or slowdown, causing discomfort, chaos, and heavy additional expenses to both shippers and cargo owners.
